Day 01 BALIKPAPAN – SAMARINDA – KOTA BANGUN
Meet at airport and directly transfer to Kota Bangun for overnight on lodge. Free at own your leisure. (L,D)
Day 02 KOTA BANGUN – MANCONG – TANJUNG ISUY – MUARA MUNTAI
Proceed to Mancong by motorized canoe crossing the Jempang Lake of which we will have the opportunity to view many migratory water bird species and fishermen floating houses as well as the romantic Ohong River where proboscis monkeys, monitor lizards and other wild animals are hanging around at riverside. In Mancong, we will explore an exotic longhouse and Benuaq Dayak daily life. Next, we will visit Tanjung Isuy for watching hundred colorful dress dancers that welcome you with an impressive attraction in front of their longhouse. Afterwards, proceed to Muara Muntai for overnight on lodge. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 03 MUARA MUNTAI – KOTA BANGUN – SAMARINDA
Proceed to Kota Bangun and directly transfer to Pampang village for for exploring beautiful longhouse with totem pole as well as the daily life of Kenyah Dayak people, and if we are lucky, we can meet the long ear woman on this village. A stop will be made at Tenggarong for exploring the King Collection on the Museum of Mulawarman and Royal Cemetery of Kutai Kartanegara kingdom. Afterwards, driving to Samarinda for overnight on hotel. (B,L)
Day 04 SAMARINDA – MUARA KOMAM – UPAU VILLAGE
After breakfast, we will drive to Muara Komam for exploring a beautiful cave. Afterwards, we will proceed to Upau village for observing the daily life of Dayak Deah people. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on local house. (B,L,D)
Day 05 UPAU VILLAGE – PANDAK DAUN – LOKSADO
After breakfast, we can see mystical performance of Dayak Deah takes about 1,5 hour. In this performance, we will watch some women are dancing followed by traditional music instruments, meanwhile the shaman is climbing the thorny tree with bare hand and foot without getting any hurt on his body. Next, travel to Nagara village for sighting traditional machete making, metal ware, and pottery home industries, then continue our trip to visit Pandak Daun swamp village for observing water buffaloes swim to the stall and villagers' unique activities as well as enjoying the romantic sunset outlook. Afterwards, proceed to Loksado for overnight on lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 06 RAINFOREST TREKKING
After breakfast at lodge, we will proceed to explore jungle and Dayak land crossing primary and secondary rainforest, hills, waterfall, hanging and suspended bamboo bridges, villager farmlands, rivers and cascades, longhouses, cinnamon and rubber trees. In the afternoon, we will back to the lodge through other trail with different beauties of nature. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on lodge. (B,L,D)
Day 07 BAMBOO RAFTING – RIAM KANAN LAKE – APUAI
After breakfast, we will take an adventure trip of bamboo rafting across beautiful landscape of tropical rainforest along the Amandit riverside meanwhile our coach will be waiting on the downstream for transferring to Aranio small port to cruise upward the Riam Kanan Lake to Apuai while sighting beautiful mountainous scenery as well as species of bird fly over the lake. Afterwards, we will set a campsite on the lakeside. (B,L,D)
Day 08 APUAI – RIAM KANAN LAKE – BANJARMASIN
We will cruise deeper the Riam Kanan Lake to explore beautiful view of forests, mountainous swamp, birds, boat making, floating fishing ponds, etc. Next, proceed to Banjarmasin for taking an afternoon canal sightseeing. Afterwards, transfer to hotel for overnight. (B,L)
Day 09 FLOATING MARKET – SAMPIT
Early in the morning, we will leave to floating market for exploring the unique culture of Banjarese that trade commodities from boat to boat, then return to hotel crossing Banjarmasin River while sightseeing people activities at riverside. Afterwards, we will drive to Sampit with some stop over on interesting spots we will meet en route. Free at your own leisure and overnight on hotel. (B,L,D)
Day 10 SAMPIT – PANGKALAN BUN – TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK
Transfer to Kumai sub-district for boarding the houseboat to Tanjung Puting National Park. The houseboat is a traditional wooden river boat about 6m by 2m with a roof forms the upper deck where you can view the rainforest as it glides by. The boat crew including the boatman, cook and expert guide. In the peaceful afternoon, we will slowly explore the quite river by the houseboat while observing the primates along the riverside. Overnight and dining on houseboat, with facilities; thin mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottled "mineral" water, mosquito net, kitchen, and simple toilet available on boat besides the familiar helpful guides and boatmen. Day 11 TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we will board the houseboat for cruising upward to Pondok Tanguy to explore the rehabilitation center of the new ex-captive orangutans. Next, return to houseboat for sailing upward the creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rainforest. At this station, you will have opportunity to trek into the rainforest with your expert guide and forest rangers to appreciate the flora as well as viewing wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques, and birds. Lunch will be served on houseboat. In the afternoon, we will visit the feeding station to see rehabilitated orangutans are given additional foods. We will then sail back down the river and overnight on houseboat. (B,L,D)
Day 12 TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK – DEPARTURE
Return to Kumai district by boat then transfer to Pangkalan Bun airport for your next destination. (B)
